Chelwood Tool Company, originally situated near Bristol but now located in Devon, has remained a family-run business celebrated for over five decades for its exceptional quality and innovation in crafting a diverse range of commercial and professional rakes. Serving groundskeepers, landscapers, and greenkeepers nationwide, our reputation has expanded globally in recent years.
In 1973, our company earned the prestigious Institute of Groundsmanship’s International Gold Award for the Best Introduction of the Year, marking a significant milestone in our journey. This recognition hadn’t been bestowed upon a hand tool for 18 years prior.
Since our inception, we have continually evolved our product line. Beginning with rakes made exclusively from high tensile steel, we later introduced a range of polypropylene rakes in 1984. These lightweight yet durable alternatives quickly gained popularity.
Subsequently, our offerings expanded to include the top-quality Aluminium Crown Landscaper rake and the specially engineered Aluminium Snow Shovel with a reinforced stainless steel leading edge.
Over time, we diversified further, introducing the concrete rake (CR460), equestrian fork (EF390), and a selection of water rakes to our catalogue. More recently, we have broadened our range of polypropylene rakes and introduced the innovative Chelute®.
In essence, our product range encompasses a wide variety of rakes tailored to diverse needs, available in sizes ranging from 35cm to 100cm wide, with various tooth gaps, alongside other specialist groundcare tools.
